Sockette Finished!
Sockette Finished! magnify

I got the first one done last night. I quick washed it up and put it on the sock hanger so I could take a pic for y'all this morning! And, ta-da, it even fits!

Well, our cold snap has really turned miserable. (However, the up side is it's cold enought to wear some of my hand made socks!) It's been raining off and on all night as well as a very short lived thunderstorm this morning. I love thunderstorms. My dog, however, thinks it's an invitation to become a lap dog. She hates thunderstorms and will try to climb in my lap if at all possible. She's waaaaaaaay too big.

I have plans on doing some dyeing today. I have two skeins of the acrylic/wool/nylon yarn I am using on the anklets to dye. I know the acrylic won't take the dye, but the wool and nylon will, and they usually take the dye differently. So, I may end up with a heather of two or three different colors. And I'm going to dye the last skein of Knitpicks.

I e-mailed Knitpicks and asked what the fiber content of the colored bits they call Donegal. They said it's acrylic, which is great as it won't be affected by the dye!

A couple weeks ago, my daughter and son bought a dvd/cd writer for my computer. It's nice to make a "working copy" of the kids dvds so if they are a bit reckless with their dvds the originals won't be ruined. However, I can also burn all my pics from the digital camera to a cd! Not to mention all the knitting patterns on Adobe format that are stored on my computer. Talk about freeing up space!

Watched Capote last night. It's a really good movie. I remember reading the book and was really looking forward to seeing the movie. If you've got an afternoon, get your knitting out and watch it.
