Sock Wall of Fame
Sock Wall of Fame magnify

I got my room all rearranged and hung my stockings on the wall with care! These are all the socks I've made since I perfected my skill in early February! Aren't the gorgeous??????

I finished the Fiesta socks yesterday, washed them, and hung them out on the grapefruit tree on my new sock blockers F made me. They dried oh, so quickly in our 80 degree heat.

Of course then I immediately cast on another pair.

These will be for one of the grands, more than likely my grand daughter. Even though I can dye them a more boyish color, the rolled cuff is a little too girly for the guys. These are made of Cascade 220 super wash. I added some reinforcing nylon to the heel, just to practice using it cuz I doubt these will ever be worn with shoes.

I've found I really like making heels the "regular" way with a heel flap, shaping and gusset more than I like the afterthought heels I've done. It just seems to go faster, even if only psychologically. And I think they look so magical!

After I got my room all rearranged, I ended up sitting up there for the rest of the day knitting. The baby climbed up and down the stairs having great fun coming in to visit and then going down to be with her sister and then back up again. It was a nice quiet day!

You're right, Tammy, AC is a necessity in AZ during the summer, and no, one can't knit or spin if one doesn't have it. Yes, Amy, it does feel good to get the Honey do's done....almost as good as knitting!
