Scary

Scary! magnify
Youngest Son was not impressed by how I spent my weekend. He said he'd not wear it out of the house which, I guess, precludes him wearing it at Disneyland next week...

That is if we go. I did not realize Southern California was on fire.... From the quick searching I did I don't think Anaheim is in any of it, but.....

F found burnt out and missing light bulbs in the rear end of my car. This may be a simple fix.... If new lights and/or fuses aren't the answer then we'll get an external set of tail lights (as you'd use for towing a trailer, boat, etc.) and hot wire them to the battery. Maybe rig up a switch if we can to turn them off when we don't need them. It's a fix for the issue and one that's doable time wise. Money wise, well, we don't have much of a choice.

Am supposed to go over to F's today to see about starting all the fixes for the car.... Hope his brain is working okay today.

I got a bit more done on the felted Mary Janes and bit more done on the socks for 2nd Son. I was out a good portion of the day with F and getting a pedicure. Gotta have pretty toes for Halloween! And yes, they are orange!

That's what I get...

...for being so cocky. I was sure I could make a sock with minimal reference to the pattern now that I've made so many..... I started my gusset before I'd turned the heel. Couldn't figure out why there were so many sts to the decrease. Finally figured it out and I'd wasted most of the knitting day. Anyway, I'm back on track.

My daughter's back is better. She has spent two days flat on her back and is going for day three. But she's better.

The kids next door started a fire in their back yard last weekend. I finally saw the extent of the damage yesterday. It'd started scorching the paint on the house. I guess I'm glad the nosey neighbor saw it and put it out. Consequently all the rest of us had to clean our back yards up by today. A good case of closing the barn door after the horse ran away. Anyway, my grands helped me get the leaves raked, the dog poo picked up and all that. The yard looks really nice now. (It wasn't that bad, but it always looks better when it's clean.) Have to go gossip with the complex manager today and find out if the neighbor's been given her notice to vacate. I feel bad...she's a recent widow and works at least two if not three jobs, but....her kids run wild. Obviously. They are so noisy....

Got lots of stuff to get done today so have no idea how much knitting I'll get done.
