This is a vine that appears to be taking over TN. It grows up everything, trees, buildings, fences, lightpoles.... I saw huge areas covered by it on our drive to Chattanooga. I thought it was kudzu but doesn't match pics I found. Anyone have any idea what it is? As always, click for a larger image.

These are two different kinds of jellyfish we saw at the
Tennessee Aquarium.

This is a view from on top of Lookout Mountain. We took the
Incline Railway to get up there. It's a small car on tracks that goes up a 72.7 degree incline. It's true...
"And on a clear day...On a clear day...
You can see forever...
And ever...
And ever...
And ever more. . ."
Hi there. Just saw your moniker on my new blog. I am trying to get back into the groove of things. Yahoo is really shutting 360 down so I had to move. Unfortunately, I can't see the pics. My laptop went sailing through the air and the cable in the screen/lid that lets it do the DSL thingie was cut in half. So I am on slow telephone hookup right now. What a pain. Glad you had a good vacation. And you are looking terrific. Renate
ReplyDeleteThat vine looks like Virginia creeper. It grows here in Indiana, too, in my backyard even! It's good for wildlife, is frequently mistaken for poison ivy because the vine roots into its host, but does take over, given the chance.
