Spent most of my knitting time working on my Pelerine and catching up on TV shows saved on the DVR. Jane asked for a pic. Soon. It's big enough that it won't stretch out on my needles and I'm just not in the mood to put it on a piece of waste yarn yet.
I blew my eating plan yesterday. Youngest Daughter's income tax came in and she took me out for dinner. We went to Applebees and I ordered the Grilled Shrimp 'n Spinach Salad. OMG. One would think grilled shrimp and spinach would be a relatively good choice. There was enough fat in it to, well, I don't know what. How can grilled shrimp have fat????? Twenty-two grams of fat in a half salad! LiveStrong has a great data base for almost any food you can think of, as well as menu items from hundreds of restaraunts. Next time I'll check out the menu before I go out for dinner.
On the up side, it's the first time I've blown it in the ten days I've been tracking my foods. And calorie wise, I only went over 225 calories, which is not a lot for a normal falling off the wagon scenario. It's just the ratio for the day that's bad. Carbs were 41.7% and should be 50%; proteins were 18.42% and should be 25%, and fats were 49.89% and should also be 25%. I might have been better off having a steak. At least the protein would have been higher.
I see lots of people talking about low temperatures where they are. Well, it's time to get the air conditioner installed in my window again, here. In the 80s during the days, and high 50s at night. I noticed this morning the lemon tree has buds on it. Spring has sprung and summer is not far off. I don't like to think about exercising in the 80 degrees the house will be at even at 6:00 am.
New on-line knitting mag. Not too impressed with the patterns, but there might be better as it grows.
"Green" wool dyes. No, not the color green, safer for the environment green!
Glad you were able to get a lot of knitting done. I got absolutely none in. Have a great day!
