Knitting in Reverse

If you are reading this blog anywhere besides here, it's been stolen and reposted. It's called blog scraping and you can go here to see if you're blog's been stolen. I found mine here and I'll have to research to find out what this place is. My blog hasn't been copied. I'm not sure if I should be happy or insulted!

So while cooling off last night, I played around with the knitting backwards concept. It works and for a thrower, it's really fast. Don't know if it would be Continental or not. I know this pic isn't real clear, but the bottom is done knitting backwards and the top the good old fashioned way! I didn't notice a change in gauge or the evenness of the sts. So, I'm thinking if one has lots of st st to do this would be a good skill just to break up the boredom. And it would be good for knitting unobtrusively, say in a meeting, when you don't want to pick up your knitting and flip it over.

I finished about 1.5 mittnz yesterday. It was so hot and I had errands to run....

Our evaporative cooler is on and running. It was 88 in the house when they finally turned it on and it cooled it all the way down to..... 86. However at that time it was over a 101 out side, so there was a distinct difference there. We left it running all night, it was 68 outside and inside at 5:30 am. It's still on, it's 74 outside and 71 inside. It's gonna be a long hot summer.

  1. I saw the same information on "Knitting in Color's" blog. However, I know it happens as others have complained but as far as I know mine hasn't been affected. I do know that my profile pic was stolen from Yahoo and a new profile created. I complained that the picture was not protected on Yahoo like it is on most sites...but to no avail.

I really am glad you're commenting. Please make sure I can find you by insuring you leave an e-mail address. It's so frustrating to have someone ask a question and no way to answer them! Thanks!
