Froggy took the sock
Froggy took the sock magnify

I found a hole in the sock and couldn't repair it. Don't know how it got there, etc., so, I frogged it completely and started a cuff down. And if you look carefully, you'll see a spiral pattern in the knitting! YES! So far so good - knock on wooden knitting needles! It's based on Knitty's RPM <-click I had to add another 9 sts to accommodate monster foot boy.

I added another block on my log cabin blanket. The white one on top.

I'm on the lookout for about two yards of bright yellow sock yarn. My DIL asked me to make Minnesota Vikings socks for the baby's six month pictures. I've got the purple and white....but need a nice bright yellow. Anyone got a couple yards laying around? Just enough to put a yellow stripe on the cuff of white socks.....

It's been sooooooooooo quiet since the neighbors moved out. Someone asked if they were ousted or left of their own accord. The complex just wouldn't renew their lease. The kids were out of control. Setting fire to the place and flooding my yard....all that was left was famine! I didn't realize how noisy they were with all the door slamming and other kids hanging around. But they were and now they are noisy somewhere else!

click> Knitterman ended his post today with a message to new knitters, but it applies to those of us that think "I could never do ________!" "Please don’t shoot me, but I am convinced that such people are the reason Gawd blessed the world with people like Elizabeth Zimmermann and others to inform (gently but firmly) that you MUST OWN YOUR KNITTING. You are the boss of your knitting. Do whatever you please. There are no rules. Several guidelines, suggestions and good ideas, but no ‘rules’. It just depends on what you want. And if you ask directions from a dozen knitters you will get at least TWO dozen opinions."
