CATS!

Yesterday morning I found the mess! It used to be a skein of KnitPicks Bare Essentials.

Don't they look innocent? Well, one of them isn't. So guess what else was on the floor?

That is KnitPicks Dancing.... Fortunately, neither were ruined. I managed to straighten out the skein enough to put on the swift and roll into a ball, and then skein it again so I can dye it eventually. The Dancing is in a nice ball waiting to be constructed into socks.

I finally got a sock CO. What a block I had! I figured out a way to get past it! I started a toe up!

This is from KnitPicks Essential Tweed, Flint. It's for my youngest son and will help me size another pair for my son in Tennessee. Those will be in black and I'm NOT looking forward to making those.

Worked on my log cabin afghan some, too. I added the blue strip on the left and started on the green on the bottom.

So....I get up this morning, reach in the freezer to get some waffles for my GD, and everything is thawed. The ice cream is just cream.... Not sure exactly what happened. My guess is my daughter didn't close the freezer all the way when putting away groceries, so the freezer door was open all night. In the desert, where it's getting down to 60s at night. Freezers are such inefficient air conditioners.....

The really bad part is that it wouldn't come back on, which lead me to think that maybe the fridge was broken. I called maintenance. Then it finally kicked in and came on. So I called maintenance back. They said they have to check it out anyway. I didn't tell him we probably left the door open, so he's going to try to find a "new" unit for us. Hopefully it'll be bigger. And look nicer on the outside. This one looks like it was part of a combat unit at some time or another!

On the agenda, other than cleaning refrigerators: sock and something new perhaps....
