Ray, at Knitivity, has started a campaign to help collect squares to make afghans for the victims of the tornado in Greensburg, KS. I made t his square according to the directions at Sugar Bunny Blvd, the collection point for the squares. No matter how many times I make this pattern, the decrease corner is always longer than the other corners making it kite shaped. I'm hoping washing it (it's acrylic) will block it....

I CO a little sock. It's more of an experiment than anything else. I used a chevron pattern from my pattern calendar to do a Magic 28 sock. So far, so good...

I got my KnitPicks order yesterday. Two skeins of white yarn to dye, two balls of Dancing sock yarn (on sale), and two balls each black and charcoal Donegal tweed. I CO socks for one of my sons with a strand of black and charcoal. Not sure I like it, but....I've broken all my Brittany sock needles so I'm down to one pair of #2 metal ones. If I use the 0 or 1s, I'm looking at over 70 sts. Doesn't sound like fun. Will play with it all a bit more this morning when I'm "fresh" rather than at night when I'm tired.

Well, the car's fixed. Ya know, we've put a lot of money into this car this year, but it's almost 20 years old and the repairs are things that have worn out. Every mechanic says once we get that all done, it'll be good for another 20 years! Can't beat a Subaru!

Have you ever wondered how your computer mouse works? Well, here's the answer!

Why not to have a yard sale: Then again, maybe it's a good reason to have one....

In case you're looking for some really nice wallpapers for your computer.

Some really nice knittin' eye candy.

Here's an afghan I made a few years ago for one of my sons. It's a crochet pattern called a Diagonal Box Stitch.
