about knitting.... So we'll leave that till the end of this post.
Aren't those Guinea pig/cavy sweaters cute? Take a look at the other pictures at click--> Barbros Stickning-Knitting. I think it's in Swedish, but don't hold me to that.
Spent the afternoon with F. He's done a lot of gardening since the last time I was there...hope he posts some pics on his blog so I can show you everything! In addition to roses and other flowering plants, he put in a garden with melons, herbs, tomatoes, onions, and eggplant.
Had a great time last night going our for dinner with F, B and friends. Three straight women, six gay men! What a hoot! Everyone was duly impressed with the knitted washcloth I gave B. If only because it had the Ankh as "anything Egypt" is B's favorite! We ate at a Mexican restaurant that is very popular, although one wouldn't think so looking at the outside of it. It's a good thing we had reservations! The food was fabulous. They made the salsa to order right at the table and it was fantastic! We all ate waaaay too much.
Here's a pic of a quilt I made for my daughter a year or so ago. She asked for hot pink and bright. That she got! That's my oldest grand daughter peeking out behind it!
I did work on the sock, and you guessed it, I screwed up. First of all, apparently I didn't count correctly and didn't decrease enough after the heel. I have about 8 more sts in the foot that the leg. That's okay as it fits okay...but the holes look really funny...almost like dropped sts all around the ankle and foot.
Originally I was going to rotate the pattern so it spiraled. That's why the two holes are out of line. Decided that was a bit too much for me to do without a written pattern, so I just had the run down the foot in a straight line. And there is that obvious error about an inch from the bottom.
I had wanted to make these for my DIL, but there's no way I'm going to send these to anyone. My choices are to finish them and wear them myself, or frog yet another time back to the ribbing and just admit that I'm not going to make socks with patterns! ::::Heavy Sigh::::
What would you do with this partial sock?
