- My Honey did some Honey-do's!
-
First of all, that's a picture of all the Alpaca I got spread out on my table! That's a lot of carding. It's really very clean even though I can tell it's right of the beast. I think I'll card, spin and then wash to get the dust off.
F is my Honey as it applies to the infamous Honey Do List.
Well, Honey did yesterday! We had been given one of the shower heads on the hose. F installed it so we can now more easily give the girls a bath. Included in the group of "the girls" is my dog. It's soooo hard to use a cup to rinse her off. The moveable shower head is such a helpful tool!
F then helped me get the stuff together to put my window air conditioner in. (Yes, it's hot enough here for it. The days are in the 80s and the nights in the 40s.) However our bedrooms are on the second floor so by the time bedtime rolls around my room is just too uncomfortable for me to sleep in. Now, the problem is, my room is on the front of the town house and windows facing the front are not allowed to have a room air conditioner hanging out. We needed to come up with a solution. F did, and we bought most of the necessary stuff to do it. One more trip to Home Depot and we're ready. Now I have to rearrange my room to accommodate the new air flow. No biggie. My son and I are going to do it today. In another language it's called "Spring Cleaning."
So, next F fixed the screens so the kids/cats couldn't push them out. Very important as this is a very dangerous area for cats on the run.
And he made me a dozen sock blockers!
We finally found plastic coated wire hangers at a local dollar store. Twelve for $1.00! In about 20 minutes they were all done!
I have enough for all the socks I've knitted and as I don't generally wear socks in the summer, I'm going to hang them on my bedroom wall as a decoration! Pics to follow!
So, I didn't get any knitting done to speak of.
Just managed to pick up all the sts for the afterthought heel and knit one round. But my day was productive in other ways. Not that any of them are nearly as important as knitting..... but they do have to be given some attention once and awhile!
