I finished my challenge sock yesterday. It took 8 hours and 49 minutes from CO to washed and blocked!

And that was about the extent of my day. I learned a few things. I don't like knitting under pressure. It wasn't fun at all to knit the last sock up. I also learned that it doesn't really take a lot of time to make socks, but one really has to take breaks. I kept a log of start and stop times just to see how long it took. I CO at 8:18 am and hung it out to dry at 7:48 pm. The longest time I knit was an hour and 45 minutes and the shortest stint was 50 minutes.

I would have spent the entire day knitting anyway, but feeling the pressure just wasn't fun.

But I do have another pair of socks done!

Not a whole lot interesting in the blog world today. Lots of Mother's Day tributes. In that vein, here's a neat sheepy story.

The transmission is definitely gone in the car...don't know if it goes to the mechanic today or not. Daughter is handling this one.

Doby Socks + 1

The mismatch Doby socks are done! I finished them up last night while watching my regular Friday night shows: Ghost Whisperer, Close to Home, and Numbers. I think they are pretty cute, and look good on the model, too!

Here's the first sock of the Sock in a Day Challenge. I like the way they turned out, but are a bit snug for me, so may go in the "Gift Drawer".

My plan is to start the second sock today, but.... My oldest and youngest sons are coming over today. My oldest son is in a wheel chair as a result of a car accident in 1997.

We'll hang out, watch TV/movies and probably end up playing Cribbage or some board game. So instead of a marathon knitting event, it may have to be the 18 hour version!

Did a bit of work on the hoodie I'm making for my grandson. Had to find something to do to keep from CO on the second sock! I still have five or six inches before the back is done.
