Work Socks FO

I finshed 3rd son's work socks yesterday. Two strands of sock yarn, US5 needles, toe up, short row heel, sewn cast off. Fourty-eight st CO.Now the race is on to see if I can finish grandson's socks before Saturday afternoon when we fly home. I have the toe on one to finish, and have just started the gusset on the other. We're driving to Chattanooga tomorrow to go to the aquarium and maybe some other places, too. Kinda playing it by ear. We still want to take grandson to "Up" and may opt to do that in the afternoon.

I found a new to me sock yarn at Michael's in Murfreesboro today--Paton's Stretch Socks. It's 41% cotton, 30% wool, 13% Nylon and 7% Elastic. I loved using the Cascade Fixation for socks, so this should be really nice. Will keep you posted.

  2. Great socks! It sounds like you're having a wonderful visit w/your family.

So, what do you think of Toe-Up Socks & short-row heels?

What do you think of the Paton's Stretch yarn? I have some & I'm not too crazy about it.
