About four more rows and the body of the sweater will be finished. Although the pattern doesn't call for it, I think the sleeves need some shaping. I just don't really have a clue on how much and how often....

  1. The rainbow sweater is beautiful. I think even all my small boys might be willing to wear a sweater made from that yarn. But as to shaping the sleeves, part of the reasoning behind no shaping in a child's sweater sleeve is that their arms are basically the same diameter from just above the wrist on up. I know when I make the Wallaby sweaters for my clan there are increases just after completing the cuff ribbing. In the one for 2-3 year-olds it calls for 12 sts to be added in the first round of stocking stitch.
