I Dyed!

I recently bought two hanks of sock yarn for dyeing. Yesterday seemed like a good day to get my hands multicolored! The top hank is a light brown Moda Dea skein I had that needed to be a different color. I used Salmon to get a nice brick red.

The middle skein is kelly green. Love the way it turned out. And the bottom one is half purple and have blue. I'm hoping they'll be relatively even stripes. If they aren't the colors are close enough in intensity it won't make any difference. I had about a dozen step by step pictures of the dyeing process that my computer ate when I tried to down load them... :::heavy sigh:::
The front of the sweater is done. Today I CO the sleeves. Am trying to decide if I want to do them both at the same time.... The top of the sweater was done that way and it sure does help to keep them even.

Pretty, pretty, gorgeous sweater!

  2. The yarn looks great! Did you use Kool Aid? Lizzie, I don't think the link is working.

  3. The link didn't work for me either.

And, what did you use to dye with?

I really am glad you're commenting. Please make sure I can find you by insuring you leave an e-mail address. It's so frustrating to have someone ask a question and no way to answer them! Thanks!
