- I was a good girl....
-
I got a bit of knitting time done on my sock!!!! I have about eight rows left before starting the toe decreases. If all goes well I should be able to get them done today.
I also got the back yard cleaned up...before the big winds come through today. I think it was either a really good idea to clean it up, or really stupid as it'll look just like it did after the winds.... We also picked the grapefruit we could reach. I haven't taken care of the trees at all since we moved in here in September. So I didn't think the fruit would be very good. Wrong! It's delicious! Not to mention huge! The smallest grapefruit we have are the size of supermarket ones. You can see how much larger the others are!
I don't know if I told you guys, but I homeschooled all my kids and the youngest, my 14 year old son, is still homeschooled. One of our projects is to watch the Planet Earth series on Discovery channel. WOW! We just watched the first episode, but what wonderful photography! If you get the chance, watch it. (That's when I got most of my knitting done...while watching this!)
When we were in TN over Christmas for the birth of my newest grand, I finished up all the projects I'd brought with me and was trying to think of something to make. So, this is what came of it.
When I was a kid in the Midwest they were called Earwarmers. Just a narrow hat that fits over the ears and ties under the chin. This one was for my grand daughter. It's really enough for the AZ winters. The teachers at her school thought it was great!
Today's my day with F. We're staying in and kicking back today. He's had a rough week already and it's only Tuesday!
