I have Air Conditioning!

My day got thrown into a whirlwind yesterday. My daughter has hurt her back...several different things, but bottom line, she's flat on her back for a while. Which gave me a car! She needed an acupuncture treatment, so we called my favorite Honey, F. He, of course, agreed to do the treatment as well as help me get my air conditioner installed. Okay, he agreed to let me help him install it if I promised not to get in the way. So now, my room is nice and cool! I slept much better last night!

I CO a new pair of socks (of course). I tried several times to adapt a very easy lace pattern from the 365 Stitches calendar, but must have not been paying close enough attention because each time I ended up with too many or too few sts at the end of round. So, back to the plain vanilla sock. But this time I added a horizontal rib just for the heck of it.

My grandsons are visiting for the weekend. Their grandfather took them to the ball game for the afternoon yesterday and will take them out to the air show at the Air Force base today. Although it cuts down on the time I have to spend with them, with my daughter home and in pain, the quiet time is appreciated.

I keep looking for a non-sock project to work on in addition to my socks, but nothing grabs me..... However it's lots of fun browsing patterns!
