Quiet Knitting Day

It was just a quiet day. I am about half done with the heel flap of yellow sock #2. I got several hours of quiet knitting in. Which is rare for me. Generally there is all kinds of noise going on from various sources. But yesterday, everyone kinda left for large blocks of time.

My autistic grandson, K, and my son came over for a visit. My son, Z, is working nights now, so we save a couple TV shows for him to watch. Thursdays is his day to "catch up". He watched TV and I knitted. K wandered around looking at things and seemed to be perfectly content. He loves my aquarium screen saver!

Yahoo....tax refund just went through...may stop at my LYS for some "real" sock yarn today! My no calorie Valentine's treat! Which of course is great incentive to finish up my yellow sock today....or as soon as possible!

Today's my day with F. Remember I'd told you he'd knitting one sleeve on his pinwheel sweater inside-out? Well, he cut the sleeve off, picked up all the live sts and today we are going to get great practice learning and perfecting the Kitchener Stitch! F and his husband, B, are going out for Valentine's Day tonight... Dinner and a movie. Some days I really miss not having some kind of a significant other. This V Day was probably the worst I've every had in that respect. Now, to balance that out, I can remember more than a dozen V Days that were totally ignored by various significant others in my life.... So, I'm officially not complaining!
