- I Heart Heart Day!
-
Gee, it feels good to be done with my civic duty. I got a total of 8 inches done on my scarf, most of which was while waiting yesterday afternoon. After lunch my group was called in for a case, but I wasn't among the first 26 called, so I didn't get chosen for duty. Although I couldn't knit in the courtroom, the up side was we got out 90 minutes early.
I walked to the bus transit hub to catch the number 7 bus. Immediately got on the wrong bus, which in fact turned out to be a better choice than the number 7 and got home even sooner. I love it when my guardian angel makes me read things "wrong" so it makes things "right."
You know, if you'd like to see a real cross section of American populace, go to the Jury Waiting Room at your local court. We had "big kids, little kids, kids that climb on rocks, fat kids, skinny kids" but no "kids with chicken pox". Of all the people there, tho, the only ones I wondered about were those that didn't bring book, hobby, I Pod, or CD/DVD player to keep themselves occupied for what could be up to 8 hours of sitting around, basically confined to one room except for scheduled ten minute breaks and lunch. I would go stark raving mad if I didn't have something to do to pass the time. I mean, I'm totally okay with "to each their own" but.....
Worked for awhile on my sock...it's coming along nicely although it sure does take a lot longer to make a sock
when using sock yarn size vs two strands of ww!
After all my "spring" cleaning.... the mountains are covered in snow and it's very wet and cold out. It hailed yesterday, too. I didn't know about it till I got home, being buried in the recess of the judicial system but I heard it was a pretty good storm. So it's wet and cold and not springy at all today.
